Practice makes perfect!

The weeks are counting down to the state pageant and I can see all of us improving through our preparation...so exciting! The third quarter of school just ended so that means only nine weeks left of my freshman year! This summer, I look forward to volunteering at 4000 Valley Square nursing home and will keep busy dancing and attending volleyball camps.

I have a lot to look forward to in the process of getting ready for the upcoming state competition! Practicing is crucial if you want to have a successful outcome, but it's not all work...it's a lot of fun, too! Getting to know the titleholders is the best! Right now, I'm working with my committee with wardrobe and talent decisions and will soon begin mock interviews to prepare for the interview phase of competition at state. I can't wait to also see what the other girls are working on!

Miss Empire Outstanding Teen 2010 is Abby Fisher!

I can't wait to begin my year with the title of Miss Empire Outstanding Teen 2010! The local pageant was a great experience with tons of fun thrown in. If it wasn't for the beautiful miss contestants helping me out with everything from simple questions to wardrobe malfunctions, the day wouldn't have been such a success. A big congrats to my newly crowned big sister, Stephanie Erickson! She'll be an awesome person to spend this with. Of course, a huge thank you to Caroline for everything she puts into this. I can already tell that being introduced to the Miss America Organization will add success to my future, as I smile and wave all along the way. :)

Follow Miss Empire Outstanding Teen 2010 throughout her year and as she prepares for the Miss North Dakota's Outstanding Teen Competition. Miss Empire Outstanding Teen 2010 will be chosen on Sat. Jan. 16th, 2010 @ 7pm at the Empire Arts Center downtown Grand Forks, ND.

Additional titles being awarded include Miss Grand Forks Outstanding Teen and Miss Eastern Dakota Outstanding Teen.
